Ez az egyetlen játék a Crash Bandicoot sorozatban, ahol annak ellenére, hogy az NTSC-US és a PAL cím is megegyezik, külömböző logó lett használva. A PAL változatban nagyobb hangsúlyt kapott a 2-es szám a címben.

The level Wild Nile Ride has a hidden message under the floor before the second Checkpoint. This is impossible to view without the use of a graphical tool, but it is also present in the Official Prima Strategy Guide (see here). The message consists of the word "TATTA", followed by the Vicarious Visions logo and a smiley face (submitted by Ntropydude).

The level "Now it's Istanbul" is a reference to of a They Might Be Giants song entitled "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)". The song goes: «Istanbul was Constantinople Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople»
